Does Second Baptist have a Mission Statement?

Yes, we do. It is written in our Church Constitution as:
"The mission of Second Baptist is to worship Almighty God, promote the spiritual growth of its members, and advance the cause of Christ throughout the world."
What weekly services do you have?

Tell me about your Christian Education programs

We have Sunday School for all ages on Sunday morning at 10:10am. We believe Christian education is important ... from pre-school children right on through to adults. Learning what the Bible says is a lifelong passion for those who follow Jesus Christ.
What other special services do you have?

Do you have a Youth Group?

We do have a Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF) that meets every other Sunday evening for youth in
Grades 7 thru 12 to have fun, do service projects and grow as Christians. Check out the
Calendar page for current schedule.
In the past, the BYF has been involved in a puppet ministry, retreats and spent time helping others
in neighboring communities. Our youth leader Rayanne makes our BYF
both fun and exciting for our young people.
What other groups do you have?

We have a women's fellowship group called W.O.W. (Women of the Word) which meets on
Wednesday mornings. For the men, we have a Men's Breakfast & Fellowship that meets on
the first Saturday of the month at 8:00am.
We also have two fellowship groups that plan monthly activities: ACTS (for over-30s) and
Wedlox (for over 40s).

Do you have anything special for younger children?

We have an AWANA youth outreach program for children aged 3 to Grade 6; this meets
on Wednesday evening from 6:15pm - 8:00pm.
Does this church support missions?

Yes, we do. We at Second Baptist give approximately 15% of our Budget to missions. For
the past few years, we have offered mission trips for our members and have given time and
money to help local missions.
Do you have any music programs?

Absolutely! We have an adult choir, a children's choir and a contemporary worship team.
How does the church communicate information?
[ Top ]
We communicate via our weekly newsletter, The Dimensions, as well
as the printed bulletin. The newsletter is also contained on this page on
this website, and there is also a Calendar of Events page that lists
everything that's happening.
I cannot attend service - how can I hear the sermon?

All of our sermons are recorded and placed on this website, and in most cases, the slideshow is also
